Mizos are agriculturalists and they practice Jhum cultivation. All their activities, celebrations and festivalsrevolve around agriculture and jhum cultivation. The main festival is Chapchar Kut or Spring Festival celebrated after jhum operations. Mim Kut is another festival celebrated in September while Pawl Kut is aharvest festival celebrated in December. These festivals however faded with the popularity of Christianity.
