Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana Gujarat: Gujarat Government has started Ujala Gujarat Yojana for distribution of energy saving LED bulbs across the state. Ujala Gujarat Yojana has been launched under the Ujala Yojana of the Central Government in a program in Vadodara. Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana Gujarat

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani decided to reduce the price of LED bulbs under Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana Gujarat following unprecedented response from the people. According to his decision, the bulbs will be sold at a price of Rs. 65 per bulb for cash and Rs. 70 per bulb for EMI with the same rate for both residential and commercial customers in the state.

Chief Minister Shri Rupani has also decided to start selling LED tube-lights and 5 star rated energy-efficient fans under the local efficient lighting program launched by the Central Government. According to his decision, customers will be given 20 watt LED tubelights with a price of Rs. 210 with a total reduction of Rs. 20 in its price assigned by the Central Government.

The five-star rated energy efficient fan will be sold at Rs. 1,110 with a total reduction of Rs. 40 Its price has been assigned by the Central Government to the whole nation. EMI cost of LED tube-light and fan is Rs. 230 and Rs. 1260 respectively.

Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana Gujarat

  • The applicant should be a resident of the state of Gujarat.
  • All the ration card holders of the state of Gujarat are eligible for this Ujala Gujarat Yojana.

Required Documents: Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana Gujarat

  • Finally paid electricity bill and its photocopy.
  • Own photo ID
  • Certificate of Proof of Residence – which must be the address indicated on the electricity bill.
  • If the price of the bulb cannot be paid at the time of purchase, details of the amount paid and the amount to be paid – which will be added weekly to the electricity bill.

About Defective or Blown LED Bulbs: Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana Gujarat

LED bulbs that last four to five hours a day have a lifespan of more than 15 years and are unlikely to blow. However, if the bulb is blown out less than three years after purchase, the EESL bulb can be replaced for free, the details of which will be revealed after the bulb distribution is complete.
