Hanuman Jayanti, the birth day of the great Lord Hanuman is on the 6th April 2012
.According to some almanacs the tithi of Sree Hanuman’s birth (Sree Hanuman Jayanti) is Ashwin Vadya Chaturdashi while others quote it to be on Chaitra Paurnima.
Celebration
On this day, devotional kirtan are held in the temple of Sree Hanuman before sunrise. The kirtan is concluded at sunrise when Sree Hanuman is born. Thereafter the idol of Sree Hanuman is ritualistically worshipped and a holy sacrament of sweets prepared from dry ginger is distributed.
