Mumbai is all set to bid farewell to its favourite god – Lord Ganesha on Anant Chaturdashi Today, September 18, 2013 Ganesh Visharjan.
On this day Idols of Lord Ganesha are immersed in nearby sea, lake or pond to mark and end to the 11-day long celebrations of Ganeshotsav. This is known as Ganesh Visarjan, Ganesh immersion or Ganapati Nimajjan.
