The Guru Purnima festival generally celebrated by Hindus and Buddhists on Purnima of Ashadh month. In Hinduism this day is also celebrated as Vyasa Purnima. And this festival is celebrated by Buddhists in the honor‘the lord Buddha’.
A guru is one who is regarded as having great knowledge about religious and authority in a certain area, and who uses it to guide others.
