Shri Vallabhacharya Jayanti is Birthday of Jagat Guru Shri Vallabhacharya Jayanti.Vallabhacharya, born in 1479 at Champaranya in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh (today’s) and spread his spirituals fragrance till his death in 1531.
Vallabhacharya (1479-1531) was a famous 16th century sage-philosopher of India and an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna. He was born in Champaran near Raipur in Chhattisgarh, a state of India.
Shripad Vallabhacharya is particularly known as the founder of the Pushti Marg, a sect of the Hindu Religion, and is one of the five main acharyas who made a significant contribution to the bhakti movement.
Vallabhacharya Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Shri Vallabhacharya, the founder of the Pushti sect in India. Vallabhacharya Jayanti 2011 date is April 28. It is observed on Varudhini Ekadasi. It falls in Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month in North Indian Hindi calendars and Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month in Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati calendars.
Vallabhacharya has written sixteen stotras and compiled several commentaries on the Bhagavata Purana as Lilas of Lord Krishna. He is the last of the four great Vaishnava spiritual leaders. The other three saints were – Ramanujacharya, Madhvacharya, and Nimbakacharya.
